'Canallas'

Life in small towns is built on closeness, care, and daily coexistence. This mural depicts a figure breaking an arrow, transforming a symbol of violence into a gesture of peace. The act of destroying the weapon speaks to the need to reject conflict and defend a way of life based on mutual respect and community.
The artwork proposes viewing the town as a space where it is still possible to live humanely: sharing time, getting to know one another as neighbors, and building bonds far removed from aggression and war. Breaking the arrow is also a way of remembering that peace is not just the absence of violence, but a collective decision practiced every day in our way of living together.
Inevitably, while painting this mural in the center of Córdoba, I recalled the words of Julio Anguita when his son, a journalist covering the Iraq War on the front lines, was killed: “Damn the wars and the scoundrels who wage them.”
